Pop star Shakira, who has long supported Bad Bunny, has once again expressed her love and admiration for the him as he prepares to headline the Super Bowl Halftime Show next February.

The 48-year-old Colombian superstar couldn’t hide her excitement, calling the Puerto Rican hitmaker’s upcoming performance a “proud moment” for Latin music on the global stage.

Speaking to Variety, the Hips Don’t Lie singer said: “It’s about time! When we did ours back in 2020, even having part of our set in Spanish felt like a bold move."

"Acceptance of Spanish-language music has come so far since then.”

Meanwhile, Bad Bunny sent a fiery message to his critics during Saturday Night Live, quipping that fans have “four months to learn Spanish” before his big night.

Switching to his native tongue, the Dakiti rapper, whose real name is Benito Ocasio, declared: “This is a win for all Latinos and Latinas in the U.S. Our contributions can never be erased.”
