Will a Hulk movie ever happen? Mark Ruffalo weighs in

The future of the raging green superhero, Hulk has been in question since his last appearance in the MCU in 2022.

Mark Ruffalo, the face behind the superhero, thinks a solo movie for the character is quite unlikely, "Yeah, I’d love to have a solo Hulk movie.”

Having joined the franchise in 2012, he is the only one of the main Avengers who did not get a solo project afterwards.

The actor continued, "I don’t know if you know the story of that, but it's not really owned by Marvel. It's a Universal property. I don't know if it'll ever really come to be, honestly. We keep talking about it, what it would be. There's been so many Hulk movies already, it's like, does anyone really want another one? But I'd love one, and I do think the audiences would be into it if we could crack the nut of it."

The MCU does already have a Hulk movie, which is 2008’s The Incredible Hulk which starred Edward Norton and is largely considered a failure.

Even though he was replaced by Ruffalo later on, the events of the film are canon and are even referenced in Captain America: Brave New World.

Ruffalo admitted last year that the head of the MCU had claimed that another Hulk film would never happen, "As far as I know. I could talk more about it but I've been told not to.”
