Mark Ruffalo sat down for an interview where he revealed what he learned from working alongside an FBI agent for Task.
He takes on the role of FBI agent Tom Brandis in the HBO series, coming from creator Brad Ingelsby.
Attending the premiere at Perelman Performing Arts Center, the actor told People, “I learned that the best FBI agents have a lot of empathy.”
In preparation for the series, he revealed previously, "I spent a lot of time with FBI agent Scott Duffey. That's about the most I did.”
On shooting in Philadelphia, he said, "I ate a lot of Philly cheesesteak sandwiches. I just put a bunch of weight on.”
Task is “set in the working-class suburbs of Philadelphia” where Ruffalo’s character leads a task force "to put an end to a string of violent robberies led by an unsuspecting family man."
The show’s cast also includes CODA star Emilia Jones, Wednesday's Jamie McShane, The Woman King breakout Thuso Mbedu, House of the Dragon actor Fabien Frankel, Raúl Castillo from Looking and Martha Plimpton.
