Liam Payne, who plunged to his death on October 16 last year, was remembered by his girlfriend Kate Cassidy on his first death anniversary.
In an emotional interview, Kate recently admitted she is staying busy as a way to cope with grief which was evident in her latest photoshoot.
However, these changes in the model were seemingly not accepted by the online community and were largely labelled as deception by many after she shared pictures.
The influencer’s recent brand shoot was heavily criticised that featured her finally returning back to life and hanging out with friends just as promised earlier.
Meanwhile, a critic noted that Kate “celebrated on 16th and posting it now” to say “this is your way of grieving.” A user pointed out that the star reserved this weekend for “shared grief not a brand deal.”
While an admirer expressed their confusion as they “though she said didn’t wanna stay alone that week… it turned out to be a brand deal,” many netizens jumped in to defend the singer’s partner.
One of the fans revealed they are waiting “til she meets someone else” and move on from the heartbreak, which was also hinted by Kate herself.
Although the young influencer admitted she is open to “dating” again but is not there yet, the One Direction alum’s sister Ruth allegedly called out the 26-year-old.
Ruth bashed all those who “seem more interested in the fame they can gain off this,” reminding everyone that a son lost his “Dad, parents [left] without their child and I am lost without my brother.”
