Callum Turner reveals ‘crazy’ first meeting with Dua Lipa

Callum Turner and Dua Lipa’s love story appears to be written in the stars, as the actor discloses the wild story of the first time they met.

The former models, who began their romance in 2024, are now engaged to be married and The Boys in the Boat star is disclosing how they were meant to be together.

In a conversation with The Sunday Times, the 35-year-old disclosed that the first time he met the pop star was before a mutual friend’s birthday, over drinks.

The English actor began, "We sat next to each other and realized we were reading the same book, which is crazy."

Callum continued, "It’s called Trust [by Hernán Díaz] and I had just finished the first chapter and I told her and she looked at me and said, ‘I just finished the first chapter too.’ I said, ‘So we’re on the same page. ”

The Masters of the Air actor went on to say that he realised at the time that the moment sounded like a Hollywood movie plot, and if he were in one he would look up to the sky and say that he was understanding the signs.
