Hollywood hunk Channing Tatum has teased that Marvel fans are in for a jaw-dropping experience when Avengers: Doomsday hits cinemas.

The 45-year-old actor, who rose to fame with the 2006 dance hit Step Up, will return as "Gambit" in the highly anticipated blockbuster.

While speaking to People, he couldn’t contain his excitement, saying, “When I read the script, I was just like, ‘What?!’”

“I don’t think anybody’s really going to understand how they did this. It’s going to melt everybody’s brain all over again,” he gushed.

Directed by Anthony and Joe Russo, the film promises to raise the stakes yet again in the Marvel universe.

But for him, mastering Gambit’s signature Louisiana Cajun dialect remains a challenge.

“It’s always a bit of a push and pull,” he admitted.

The Magic Mike actor’s comeback as Gambit follows his fan-favourite cameo in Deadpool & Wolverine, a moment that co-star Ryan Reynolds called “comic perfection.”

Reynolds praised him on Instagram, writing, “Gambit is a guy Chan was born to play… he’s one of the kindest and hardest-working people in Hollywood.”

In response, Tatum shared his gratitude: “There’s almost no one who’s had my back in this industry more than Ryan.”

Notably, the highly anticipated movie is currently scheduled to be released on December 18, 2026.

Is Avengers: Doomsday Marvel’s biggest crossover yet?

The Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) began in 2008 with Iron Man, marking the start of an interconnected superhero saga.

The first big crossover, The Avengers (2012), united heroes like Iron Man, Thor, and Captain America, launching a global phenomenon.

Over the next decade, Marvel expanded its universe through phases, introducing new heroes, exploring space and time travel, and culminating in Avengers: Endgame (2019), which ended the “Infinity Saga.”

The post-Endgame era, known as The Multiverse Saga, explores alternate realities and new threats, including Kang the Conqueror.

Now, Marvel is gearing up for its next epic chapter with Avengers: Doomsday, , followed by Avengers: Secret Wars in 2027.
