Chris Pratt’s upcoming ‘Mercy’ trailer receives backlash

Chris Pratt and Rebecca Ferguson’s new movie, Mercy trailer sparked major stir among netizens.

The trailer of the movie was released on YouTube by Amazon MGM Studios on October 9 and is going to be launched in the trailer on 23 January, 2026.

The story follows as the Main lead, Chris is accused of murdering his wife and set for the execution in 90 minutes by an advanced AI Judge, Rebecca as she plays Judge, Jury and Executioner.

The netizens took it to the comments section and penned how they were left upset and disappointed over the new trailer for numerous reasons.

One person wrote, “These trailers are just becoming the entire movie summed up.”

Another netizen wrote, “good film, shame it was only 2.58 long.”

According to the internet users, the movie’s plot and story was disclosed in the 3-minute-long trailer and they were no more curious to watch the movie, “You didnt need to spoil the whole film in this trailer”

Few of them had different opinions and thought that the movie was a copy of the Tom Cruise’s movie Minority Report.

One online user from the audience also spewed “I don't think a trailer has ever made me want to see a movie less.”

The movie is directed by Directed by Timur Bekmambetov and produced by the Academy Award winning producer of Oppenheimer, Charles Roven.
