Charli XCX has just released a teaser for her upcoming film, The Moment in signature brat fashion with a surprise feature from Kylie Jenner.
In her post on Instagram, the Apple singer begins by outlining that the idea behind the film is hers and that the A24 helmed project will come out next year.
The flashy teaser includes neon lights, a re-mix of Icona Pop’s I Don’t Care, which the Brat hit maker featured on in 2012 including the cast, writers and director.
As per the teaser, Kylie Jenner is set to appear in her first-ever movie for the upcoming project which will be directed by Charli’s longtime collaborator Aidan Zamari.
The film’s synopsis talks about a rising star grappling with “the complexities of fame and industry pressure while preparing for her arena tour debut.”
In the comments of the British singer’s post, the co-writer and the director wrote, “Just checking - a movie is just like a really long video right? or is more like a blog post with pictures ?”
This appears to be a hint at the project’s unusual structure and nature of the film as Aidan makes his directorial debut.
Notably, the photographer has recently worked on Timothee’s high-concept, cryptic Marty Supreme promo.
The other cast members are Alexander Skarsgard, Rachel Sennott, Rosanna Arquette, Kate Berlant, Rish Shah, Jamie Demetriou, Arielle Dombasle, Hailey Benton Gates among others.
