Ace Frehley, who was one of the co-founders of the iconic rock band KISS, has passed away at 74.

The lead guitarist’s family along with former bandmates have confirmed the heartbreaking news in different statements.

In the immediate one issued by the musician’s family, his loved ones reveal that he was surrounded by the positivity, love and care that his loved ones offered him.

The statement goes on to express that the family cherishes his memories, laughter and celebrate the strength and kindness with which he treated others.

“The magnitude of his passing is of epic proportions, and beyond comprehension. Reflecting on all of his incredible life achievements, Ace’s memory will continue to live on forever!” it read.

Meanwhile Ace’s fellow band members, Paul Stanley and Gene Simmons, also expressed their devastation at the passing of the rock legend and spoke about his place in KISS’s legacy.

The official cause of death of the Cold Gin rockstar has yet to be confirmed, but he had been reportedly hospitalised on life support after he fell in his studio and suffered a brain bleed.

In a statement on his official Instagram on September 25, it was noted that he “had a minor fall” after which other statements about his deteriorating health were released.

How long was Ace Frehley in ‘Kiss’?

Ace was in the hard rock band KISS originally from 1973 to 1982, after which he left and rejoined in 1996 staying till 2002.
