The statement comes at a time when King Charles is battling with undisclosed cancer.
The official Instagram posted the official statement on behalf of King Charles on Thursday.
The statement was shared to mark the National Harvest Service held at Westminster Abbey.
“Today is a most wonderful way to celebrate our Lord's bounty through this year's National Harvest Service in the magnificent setting of Westminster Abbey.”, the statement began.
“It is a time of year to give thanks to the custodians of our land in a tradition that stretches back centuries, yet remains ever relevant”, it continued.
The statement called labour “the foundation of our food production” and “heartbeat of rural communities”.
The post comes after the monarch met the well known Indigenous Brazilian leader and environmentalist Chief Raoni Metuktire.
The National Harvest Service was held today, October 16, at Westminster Abbey. The event drew 2,200 guests, including the Queen.
The service was first introduced at the Abbey in 2013 by Love British Food.
