Prince William’s brief response to Meghan Markle’s explosive racism allegations reportedly revealed deep fury beneath his calm exterior, a royal expert has claimed.
The moment came five years ago when Meghan, in her bombshell interview with Oprah Winfrey, claimed that senior royals had expressed “concerns” over “how dark” her son Archie’s skin might be.
When pressed by reporters days later, Prince William replied simply: “We’re very much not a racist family.”
Those seven words, says Daily Mirror Associate Editor Kevin Maguire, carried far more emotion than the prince intended to show.
Speaking on Channel 5’s Royal Heirs and Spares: Rivalry & Resentment, Maguire said: “That moment when William said the Royal Family isn’t racist—that revealed molten anger. He understood how damaging those accusations were.”
