Selena Gomez 'leaks' Jake T. Austin mobile number, takes down story later

Selena Gomez, who recently tied knot with Benny Blanco, opened up about a shocking incident that happened with her but took back her words later.

As the 33-year-old singer is notable for being a kind hearted person, the pop icon admitted she was taken advantage of but smartly dodged the bullet.

In a circulating screenshot of Selena’s Instagram story, the songstress reportedly penned down a mobile number.

She also added a note that read: “Taking advantage of me and my love for friends… enjoy that person’s number.”

The Only Murders in The Building actress seemingly received a scam call from someone who pretended to be her co-star Jake, while she cleared: “I need to hear from him and him only.”

The People You Know exposed the scam caller’s contact for her 417 million followers on social media, but later deleted the update.

The move was appreciated by the online community, who played along and began texting and calling the number their idol presumably provided.

One of the X users revealed that it is now “disconnected… they’re probably gonna have to get a new before the end of today.”

Another noted that that this “got more plot twists than an episode of Wizards of Waverly Place,” as Selena is ensuring admirers “know the side quests.”

A third netizen poked fun at her ex Justin Bieber’s wife, texting: “Hailey I know it’s you!”
