NFL star Cooper DeJean talks Taylor Swift, Travis Kelce engagement

Taylor Swift has long been a supporter of the Philadelphia Eagles, but NFL star Cooper DeJean has thoughts on her loyalty after her engagement to Travis Kelce.

On Sunday, September 14, the Philadelphia Eagles player discussed with PEOPLE whether the former Eagles fan Swift will continue supporting the team after her engagement to the Kansas City Chiefs tight end.

"Yeah, I think it's done now," DeJean said. "I think wherever Travis is at, that's who she's going to be a fan of, which makes sense, I guess."

After two years of dating, Kelce and Swift took to Instagram on Aug. 26 to announce their engagement, posting adorable proposal photos with the playful caption:

“Your English teacher and your gym teacher are getting married.”

In a similar interview with PEOPLE, DeJean also mentioned NFL legend Jason Kelce, Travis’s older brother, who was a former Eagle.

"It was cool to get to talk to him and hear what he had to say,” DeJean said. “I learned a lot from him. He won a Super Bowl, obviously, here."

Also on Sunday, Sept. 14, during an interview for NFL on FOX, Kelce revealed that he is “an emotional guy, so there were a few tears here and there” when he got down on one knee before the Grammy winner.
