DJ Khaled has finally revealed why he did not join Drake’s feud with Future and Rick Ross.
Drake and Rick Ross, who have been long term collaborators in the past, took shots at each other in their songs amid the Canadian rapper's beef with Kendrick Lamar.
Khaled had collaborated with both on song called Fed Up in 2009 but the music producer stayed out of the feud.
Speaking on Joe & Jada on Thursday, September 11, he revealed why he maintained silence on the matter.
“I love Drake, I love Ross, I love Future”, he said.
“What it feel like I didn’t get in that energy. There’s two energies I’m not gonna get in: hate.”, he said about the situation.
He called them “brothers” saying “You can’t question my friendship”.
Explaining what happened between the rappers, Khaled said it was all “misunderstanding”.
“When it comes down to DJ Khaled, I’m gonna be the one that tries to fix it.”
He further said that he would love to “squash” the feud.
Drake and Rick Ross briefly clashed between 2015 and 2017 while Drake was also in conflict with rapper Meek Mill.
