Drake, who landed his first major role aged 14 as Jimmy Brooks in the hit CTV series, has opened up about his teen drama days.

The 38-year-old rapper, who has sold more than 170 million records worldwide, described Degrassi: The Next Generation as a turning point in his path to global stardom.

In the trailer for the new documentary Degrassi, Drake recalls sharing an on-screen kiss with co-star Lauren Collins, who portrayed Paige Michalchuk.

Speaking candidly, he said, “She had to be one of my first kisses for sure. Damn, I never thought about it like that.”

The star also reflected on his adolescence, admitting that school life was far from easy.

“I didn’t really have a great time… I never quite fitted in. Then one day my mum called to tell me, ‘You got the role,’ and I just grabbed my bag and left. What a wild journey that started,” he said.

The One Dance star also shared a close call he had before landing the audition that changed his life.

Drake recently sued Universal Music Group for defamation and harassment over Kendrick Lamar's diss track Not Like Us, which he claims falsely labeled him a pedophile.

How many kids does Drake have?

Drake has two children. He shares a son, Adonis, with French artist and former adult film star Sophie Brussaux, and a daughter, twins with a private surrogate.
