American filmmaker Bryan Fuller, who made the prequel to the movie, The Silence of the Lambs, titled Hannibal, has expressed his desire to make a series on the movie.

The multiple Oscar-winning 1991 horror movie, is one of the most iconic films of the 20th century.

With speculations being made about a reboot, many actors would be hoping to land the roles of Clarice Starling and Hannibal Lecter.

The roles, previously played by Jodie Foster and Anthony Hopkins, won them Best Actor and Best Actress Oscar.

The story follows the young FBI trainee Clarice, who is hunting a serial killer and ends up meeting the psychiatrist and cannibalistic serial killer, Hannibal, to take his advice.

Bryan wants to recast Mads Mikkelsen as cannibal serial killer Dr. Hannibal Lecter and Zendaya as the FBI trainee.

“My dream project is to do a limited series of Silence of the Lambs with Mads and Zendaya as Clarice Starling.”, Bryan told ScreenRant.

The show starred Mads and Hugh Dancy which ran for three seasons between 2013 and 2015.

Previously, due to the ownership of the rights, the filmmaker was not able to adapt The Silence of the Lambs for the original show.
