American actor Tyler Perry, who has been facing allegations of sexual assault, lands in new trouble.
The accusations were made by actor Derek Dixon, who claimed that the abuse inflicted on him by Tyler happened when the billionaire invited him to stay at his guest home.
Derek has made the claims during his first television interview after he filed for a $260 million lawsuit against Tyler.
In conversation on ABC News Live’s Linsey Davis, Derek opened up about the case.
The actor described the difficulty of coming forward with the claims saying, “It’s been hard to tell my truth.”
He added, “It carries a lot of shame, but I don’t want to stay silent about it anymore.”
Explaining the incident, Derek recalled getting into his bed and Tyler joining him.
“I jumped up out of bed and he said, ‘Turn around so I can look at you.’”, Derek recalled.
The actor, who is known for his role as as Dale in Perry’s BET series The Oval, claimed that he made it clear to Tyler that he he was not interested in the alleged advances.
Derek said that after he rejected his advances, he believe Tyler would stop but he did not.
The actor filed a complain in January with US Equal Employment Opportunity Commission.
