Tom Holland opens up about life-changing moment
Tom Holland, best known for leading the blockbuster Spider-Man films, admitted that kicking alcohol has been life-changing.
The 29-year-old ditched drinking in early 2022, after struggling to get through a Dry January challenge.
The trial that was meant to last 30 days stretched into months, then years, as Holland realized he never wanted to return.
Now, the Uncharted actor says being sober feels like having “a whole new identity”.
Speaking to Esquire, he explained: “It’s amazing. I’m proud of the journey, and it’s something that continues to shape me every day.”
Notably, the BAFTA winner has even turned his new lifestyle into a business venture, launching his own non-alcoholic beer brand, Bero.
He insists the project is thriving: “We’re moving in the right direction, always growing, and coming up with new products.”
He admitted his issue wasn’t drinking occasionally, but never knowing when to stop.
Furthermore, the Marvel star also confessed that avoiding Hollywood’s wildest parties has helped.
“I used to think alcohol gave me confidence, but it actually held me back.”
Holland, who has been in a long-term relationship with his Spider-Man co-star Zendaya, added that support from loved ones was crucial in helping him stay on track.
