Ed Sheeran is rephrasing and giving context into his remarks about moving to America with his family, which had taken the internet by storm.

The Perfect singer had previously stated in a podcast that he was going to settle in The States with his two daughters, Lyra Antarctica, five, and Jupiter, three as well as wife Cherry Seaborn.

After the clip caused a lot of buzz on social media, the Sapphire hitmaker took to his Instagram stories to clarify, “…here’s me setting the record straight, coz there’s deffo a narrative press are trying to push that people wanna move out of the UK for some reason.”

“I’m not moving, I’m going on tour with my family and relocating to the continent I’m touring on, don’t wanna commute from London to San Diego obvz. Also this isn't a tax thing, it's USA not UAE. [I'll] always pay tax in uk coz that's where I live,” Sheeran added.

The Shape Of You singer then told listeners to get ready to stream his latest album Play, which will be out on Friday, September 12.

Notably, Sheeran has announced his Loop Tour, which will be kicking off its European leg in December of this year.
