Denise Richards and Charlie Sheen have had a tumultuous relationship for the years that they were married, and all the dark details from the years have come to light in a new documentary.
The Wild Things actress, who shares daughters Sami, 21, and Lola, 20 with the Platoon star spoke at length about the challenges of navigating her time with him.
In the docuseries called aka Charlie Sheen, the 54-year-old stated “What he put me through, I don’t know how I’m here to be honest, I think the only way through tragedy, what I was going through, was having a f***ing sense of humor because it was so bad.”

The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills alum even burst into tears as she detailed Charlie’s substance abuse, which made him irrationally angry.
Denise also revealed that people around her would tell her that it was either her postpartum or hormones but she knew there was something wrong, and that there were also some people in her ex-husband’s circle who were attempting to drive the pair apart.
Yes, in the docuseries Charlie said “I made it a lot more difficult than it needed to be. And I feel awful about that to this day,” referring to things between him and Denise.
