Selena Gomez has an enormous social media following, and she is finally commenting on what she thinks about the impressive feat.
The Who Says singer has around four hundred million followers on Instagram, and as it turns out, the astonishing number is difficult for her to wrap her head around as well.
In the latest episode of the Good Hang with Amy Poehler podcast, the host starts chatting with the Only Murders in the Building star about food, when Selena revealed that she loves cooking TikToks.
After Amy agreed that she likes those kinds of videos too, she asked the 33-year-old if she still goes on the platform, to which the Rare founder said that she doesn’t.
This lead to a broader discussion of Selena’s online fame about which she stated, “No, it’s OK. All social media platforms, I’m sure, hate me at this point because I’m always like, ‘Eh, I don’t know, it’s very, it can be scary.'”
The host then brought up her Instagram following, to which the Calm Down singer added, “Well, no — I’m just saying, I get so, like, awkward about that. Because it doesn’t, I don’t understand it sometimes. It’s just a very interesting thing.”
Notably, Selena has also revealed that she takes regular breaks from social media and her management team handles her profiles for the time being.
The fifth season of the comedy drama Only Murders in the Building has premiered on September 9, 2025.
