KPop Demon Hunter’s voice actress, Audrey Nuna, tapped into her character Mira’s look for the MTV Video Music Awards.
On September 7, the 26-year-old singer graced the red carpet on the prestigious award night in an all black ensemble.
Over her short black leather dress, Audrey draped a puffy ‘sleeping bag’, which referred to Mira’s introduction in the opening sequence of the film.
The dialogue stated, “I mean, she’s so cool. Who else could wear a sleeping bag to the Met Gala?”
Netizens rushed to X (formerly known as Twitter) to express their excitement at the iconic tribute. One fan wrote, “SHE ATEE THATT.” Another follower penned, “This is so cute - knew she was wearing that outfit for a reason.”
Notably, KPop Demon Hunters' fictional girl band, HUNTR/X, was nominated for Golden, in the Song of the Summer category, for which they took home their very first Moon Man.
The singing voices of the girls, Audrey Nuna, EJAE, and Rei Ami, also presented the award for best album to Sabrina Carpenter.
For the unversed, the sequel to KPop Demon Hunters is already in production at Netflix, while there’s no exact release date, the movie is expected to arrive in 2026 or 2027.
No, the girls unfortunately did not perform their hit single, Golden, at the award show.
