Justin Bieber has officially released his surprise record, SWAG II, less than 24 hours after teasing the project.
The Baby crooner had promised a midnight release for the highly anticipated album but ended up dropping it well past the scheduled time.
He later apologised for the delay on Instagram, writing, “I’m sorry for the wait, they’re telling me any second.”
Then again on Friday, September 5, the 31-year-old pop star took to social media and wrote, “OMGGGGGGGGGGGGGG WE LIVEEEEEEEEEE,” announcing the album release.
Notably, the tracks initially appeared on YouTube Music before becoming available on other streaming platforms.
The sequel to his July release features an impressive 23 tracks, including collaborations with Tems, Lil B, Bakar, Hurricane Chris, and Eddie Benjamin.
The first installment, SWAG, debuted at No. 2 on the Billboard 200, marking Bieber’s biggest streaming week to date.
The release of SWAG II followed a similar guerrilla-style promotion as its predecessor, with billboards in London and banners in West Hollywood teasing the album earlier on Thursday.
Justin Bieber’s first album SWAG had 21 tracks. Notably, the guest artists included Gunna, Sexyy Red, Druski, Dijon, Lil B, Cash Cobain, Eddie Benjamin, and Marvin Winans.
