Hollywood A-lister Jennifer Lawrence is set to add another honour to her acclaimed career with the San Sebastian Film Festival’s prestigious Donostia Award.
The Oscar-winning actress will receive this year’s award at a gala on Friday, Sept. 26, at the Kursaal Auditorium.
The event will be followed by a screening of her latest film, the Cannes-premiering Die My Love, directed by Lynne Ramsay.
Previously, Lawrence’s biggest achievement came with Silver Linings Playbook, which earned her the Academy Award for Best Actress in 2012.
The Golden Globe-winning star’s other acclaimed films include American Hustle, Don’t Look Up, Joy, and The Hunger Games trilogy.
In 2018, Lawrence took a step further by co-founding the production company Excellent Cadaver to expand her influence behind the camera.
Alongside her producing partner Justine Ciarrocchi, Lawrence has assembled an impressive slate of projects, ranging from Causeway and No Hard Feelings to the documentaries Zurawski v. Texas and Bread & Roses.
Her upcoming film Die My Love is also produced through her production label.
Besides Lawrence, the movie features Robert Pattinson, LaKeith Stanfield, Nick Nolte, and Sissy Spacek. The film stands out as the biggest title unveiled for this year’s San Sebastian, while Lawrence’s Donostia Award is set to be a defining highlight, marking one of the climactic moments of the 2025 edition.
