Gilmore Girls fans were left disappointed after the series creator revealed that a main character won’t be returning for the Searching for Stars Hollow documentary.
As per a press release by Ink on Paper Studios, Lauren Graham hasn’t confirmed her appearance for the 25th celebratory film. She played the titular character of Loralai Gilmore, a laid-back, fun mother to Rory Gilmore, played by Alexis Bledel.
Though netizens have lost hope of seeing the iconic actress appear in the film. One fan wrote, “It’s surprising that there's no mention of Rory or Lorelei appearing.”
Another follower commented, “[Lauren] — she hardly makes any public appearances nowadays.” However, they are excited to see other beloved characters reprise their roles.
According to the statement by the studios, the returning cast includes Jared Padalecki, Kelly Bishop and Chad Michael Murray, among others.
Though no further details have been revealed about the documentary yet, it is said to explore the role of Gilmore Girls in American cultural history.
