Patrick Wilson and Vera Farmiga have shared their thoughts on comedian Matt Rife becoming the new owner of the home and museum once belonging to famed paranormal investigators Ed and Lorraine Warren.
After portraying the real-life couple in The Conjuring saga for more than a decade, the duo are set to reprise their roles one final time in The Conjuring: Last Rites.
Earlier this month, Rife revealed on social media that he had partnered with ghost hunter Elton Castee to purchase the property.
Speaking with PEOPLE, Farmiga admitted, “I’d love to pick his brain,” adding that she had immediately sent the news to Wilson after seeing it.
The Warrens’ longtime home in Monroe, Connecticut, served not only as their residence but also as the base for their occult museum, which they opened in the basement in 1952, according to Connecticut Insider.
The couple lived there for decades until Ed’s death in 2006 at 79, followed by Lorraine’s passing in 2019 at 92.
Reflecting on the home’s future, Farmiga confessed she had always been curious about what might become of the property. Commenting on Rife’s purchase, she noted her interest in “what his intentions are” with the space.
Wilson echoed her sentiment, stressing that the house is part of a regular neighbourhood rather than a secluded estate.
“It’s just a normal house in Monroe, with neighbours all around,” he explained. “I can’t imagine the people on that street wanting lines of cars pulling up, paying money to go inside.”
