Dakota Johnson shares powerful message of hope after heartbreak

Dakota Johnson, who is currently promoting her upcoming film Splitsville, has refused to tamper with her signature hair.

The 35-year-old actress, newly single after seven years with Coldplay singer Chris Martin, admitted her emotional attachment to her long, dark brown locks and fringe.

Speaking with Etalk, she said, “Oh, God. You know what? I’m obviously physically attached to my hair, but I’m very emotionally attached to it.”

“I should probably change things up, but I don’t think I will,” she added, much to her fans’ delight.

Johnson, known for her effortlessly chic hairstyle, has subtly evolved her look over time.

Joel Goncalves, senior stylist at Nicola Clarke Salon, told the publication that her style is easy to replicate.

“It’s cut shorter in the middle and slightly curves into the temple area, blending into the layers. Her new fringe is more ’70s-inspired as opposed to her usual ’60s-inspired fringe,” he explained.

Recently, she celebrated her Hollywood roots while attending the premiere of her upcoming film, walking the red carpet alongside her mother, Melanie Griffith.

She is set to appear in the comedy Splitsville, directed by Michael Angelo Covino, which follows two couples navigating unexpected drama in their relationships and friendships.

The film opens in select cinemas on August 22, with a wider release on September 5.
