Taylor Swift shocks fans with surprise announcement ahead of album release

Taylor Swift, who broke records with her Eras world tour, is set to release her new album on October 3.

The singer announced her new album, The Life of a Showgirl, on her partner Travis Kelce and his brother Jason’s podcast, New Heights.

Less than 2 months away from the album release, the singer has been keeping her fans on their toes as one after the other there have been countdowns to reveal new surprises for the Showgirl era.

A blue countdown appeared on her official website on August 21 , similar to the one she had before her album announcement.

The 3 hour countdown ended with the website revealing a new variant of the album called The Life of a Showgirl: Baby, That's Show Business Collection.

The variant is a limited version which will be available till August 23.

Many fans believed it could be a pre-release of a single from the new album, which Taylor has not done in the previous albums.

It is also being speculated that another countdown will be on in the coming weeks.
