‘Game of Thrones’ star Kristian Nairn makes shocking announcement
The actor is famous for playing the role of Hodor on the show
Kristian Nairn has withdrawn from Strictly Come Dancing 2025.
The actor is best known for playing the role of servant of House Stark on Game of Thrones.
The DJ, who was set to appear on the new series has pulled out citing medical reasons.
In a statement released to announce his withdrawal, Kristian wrote: “With a heavy heart, I have to step back from this season of Strictly Come Dancing due to unexpected medical reasons.”
Saying that he was looking forward to the journey, this mishap has left him “sorry”.
“I’m deeply sorry to disappoint anyone who was looking forward to seeing me on the dance floor.”, He said apologising to the fans.
He ended the note with: “Thank you all for your support, and I will be back on my feet very soon, in every sense. Love to all, Kristian.”
The Executive Producer of BBC Studios, Sarah James, also shared a statement saying how grateful they have in the short time they got to know Kristian.
She added, “We’re incredibly sorry to lose him from this year’s series and we all wish him a speedy recovery”.
It has not been revealed what was the reason that made the actor withdraw from the show.
The new replacement will be announced on The One Show, on BBC One and BBC iPlayer on Thursday 21 August.
