Lorna Raver, who was notable for starring in horror movie Drag Me to Hell, passed away on May 12 at the age of 81.
Her sad passing was confirmed on August 11 after SAG-AFTRA magazine remembered Lorna along with other late stars including Anne Burrell, George Wendt and Brian Wilson in the "Memoriam" section.
According to The Post, her spokeperson Michael Greene paid a gushing tribute to the actress, noting that she will “now fly in Heaven, not be dragged in Hell.”
He noted about the departed soul in the statement that she was “an incredible lady and artist” as Lorna was opposite of “this character in real life.”
The Armored star began her acting career at the Hedgerow Theatre on October 9, 1943. She later appeared in Between Daylight and Boonville.
The Caller performer made her debut on the big screen after being casted in Opportunity Knocks.
In 2009, she won critical acclaim for her breakthrough role of Mrs. Ganush in the horror, sharing screens with Justin Long and Alison Lohman.
In Jason Norman’s book, the actress admitted being “ignorant of the whole horror genre” that she had no knowledge about “Evil Dead.”
Lorna leaves behind her husband Manuel Boyer, whom she married in 2000, and their two sons.
