From pop sensation to showgirl, Taylor Swift is transitioning into a new era with her brand new album, The Life of a Showgirl.
On Tuesday, Aug. 12, the Grammy-winning singer revealed that she’s been working on a new record and that it’ll be out before Oct. 13 this year.
Swift headed to the iconic N.Y.C. landmark, the Empire State Building, and illuminated the tower orange in celebration of her new Showgirl album.
Posting a photo of the skyscraper glowing in bright orange, the official Empire State Building Instagram account wrote, “Onto the next era,” referencing the Grammy winner’s record-breaking Eras Tour.
Yesterday, Swift joined her boyfriend, Travis Kelce, and his brother, Jason Kelce, on their New Heights podcast to announce her 12th studio album.
In a video swirling on Instagram at 12:12 a.m. E.T., the Eras Tour queen teased, “Can I show you something?”
To which Jason replied, "Okay. What do we got? We got a briefcase? Mint green, with T.S. on it."
"Yup," Swift added, excitedly.
"What's in it?" Jason asked, gawking in surprise. "This is my brand new album, The Life of a Showgirl," Swift explained.
"TS 12!" Travis, NFL legend and Swift’s beau, cheered.
Though the cover isn’t coherent yet, Swift’s website now displays the mysterious orange-and-green blurred album cover.
