Taylor Swift gives rare insight into 'The Life of a Showgirl' album

Taylor Swift recently made headlines after dropping a major hint about her upcoming album, The Life of a Showgirl.

The 35-year-old singer created a Spotify playlist titled, And, baby, that’s show business for you. It features 22 tracks from her previous albums that were produced by Max Martin and Shellback.

Internet sleuths pointed out the relation between the songs in the playlist and her latest 12th studio album. They speculated that her new music might be produced by Martin and Shellback.

Previously, Swift collaborated with the music makers on her 2017 Reputation album, which, according to the Swifties, is one of her best works.

Moreover, netizens also think the title of the track list might be an Easter egg from one of her new singles.

Fans took to X (formerly Twitter) to express their excitement at the pop queen’s return to music. One netizen commented, “This is going to dominate the charts and awards season!”

Another well-wisher wrote, “I used to PRAY for times like this omg.”

Notably, Taylor Swift announced The Life of a Showgirl album during an appearance on her boyfriend Travis Kelce’s podcast, New Heights.

Before she dramatically publicised her latest project, Swift’s official website started a countdown with a glittery orange background. The Empire State Building in New York turned orange to honour the songwriter’s new era.

As of now, Taylor Swift has not yet stated the release date for the album; however, it is available for pre-order on her website.
