Prince Harry is at the centre of fresh drama surrounding Sentebale, the charity he co-founded, after a major new row erupted over allegations of bullying and misogyny.
According to Sky News, Sentebale has written to the Charity Commission, demanding they clarify that their recent report did not investigate individual claims of bullying against the Duke of Sussex.
The move has infuriated Harry, with a source close to him blasting the charity’s actions as “provocative” and “pitiful,” accusing them of “rehashing unsubstantiated allegations” despite the watchdog finding no evidence of systemic bullying or harassment.
The original inquiry was launched after Harry and Prince Seeiso stepped down as patrons amid a boardroom battle with chairwoman Dr Sophie Chandauka.
While the Charity Commission criticised all sides for letting the feud play out publicly, it confirmed there was no proof of bullying or misogyny.
However, some within Sentebale now claim Harry has not been “vindicated” because the commission never specifically investigated accusations made against him.
In a scathing response, Harry’s allies said Chandauka should “stop using the press to air internal disputes” and focus on raising money for the children the charity supports.
The Charity Commission has urged all parties to “put their differences behind them” but with tensions this high, that seems unlikely anytime soon.
