Zayn Malik surprises fans with new track 'We Are The People'

Zayn Malik sent fans into a frenzy after he dropped a brand-new song titled, We Are The People on his social media.

On August 4, the 32-year-old singer released the track on his Instagram with a lyric video. The story also had a link to his YouTube channel, where he had shared the full version of the song.

The single sparked reactions from fans since it was the first time Zayn had debuted a track without teasing it. Netizens took to the comment section to praise the singer’s surprise reveal.

One fan wrote, "One thing abt Zayn is he always surprises us, but he is so multi-talented it’s insane."

Another well-wisher penned, "This is the vibe I’ve been looking for. Those lo-fi jazzy beats. Yesssssss."

We Are The People reflects on his versatility in rap music, which netizens speculate will be a part of his fifth studio album, though Zayn hasn’t announced anything about it yet.

The lyrics, “That I’m now grown, and what I speak now, is now my own tone,” mirror his time in One Direction, where he wasn’t allowed creative control over the songs.

Previously, the Dusk till Dawn hitmaker teased Fuchsia Sea on his Instagram story, confessing that he was a victim of racism during his time in the globally renowned boy band.

Moreover, Zayn Malik recently dropped his fourth studio album, Room Under The Stairs, on May 17, 2024.

He also concluded the Stairways to the Sky world tour on March 27, 2025. It marked his debut tour, which began on November 23, 2024.
