Don Zimmerman, who received an Oscar nomination for 1978 drama Coming Home, breathed his last at the age of 81.

According to the latest findings, the American film editor who rose to fame by this remarkable work in blockbuster movies including the Night at the Museum, Rocky series, and Men in Black 3 died on Thursday, July 24.

The death of the deceased was first confirmed by Perception PR in a statement uploaded on their Instagram account, which read, “Rest in Peace Don Zimmerman … He will be greatly missed,” uploaded on Instagram

The widely recognized editor was born and raised in Los Angeles, California US. In 1970, he started his career by working in the editorial department for projects, such as The Landlord, Harold and Maude, The Last of Sheila, The Nickel Ride, Shampoo and Bound for Glory.

Notably, in 2023 he won the American Cinema Editors' prestigious Career Achievement Award, due to his unwavering passion and dedication towards the entertainment industry.
