'IT: Welcome to Derry' makers drop new teaser at Comic Con
Stephan King's adaptation will air on HBO Max in October
The creators of It recently unveiled the second teaser for Stephan King’s show, IT: Welcome to Derry at San Diego Comic Con.
On Saturday, the HBO series brought back the fan favourite clown, ‘Pennywise’, from the franchise.
Lead actress, Taylor Paige, will star as a young woman who moves into a new town with her husband while a sinister being kidnaps children.
The teaser was released online, and fans took to social media to express their excitement.
One netizen wrote, “I will always be down for more horror TV shows.”
Another penned, "'thank you, Bill Skarsgard', we all say in unison.”
Notably, the spin-off will expand the franchise of King with director Andy Muschietti and Barbara Muschietti. The series will debut on HBO Max in October.
Muschietti will reportedly direct one episode of the series. He originally shot the first two films, IT and IT: Chapter 2.
The star-studded cast includes Taylour Paige, Jovan Adepo, Chris Chalk, James Remar, Stephen Rider, Madeleine Stowe, Rudy Mancuso, and Bill Skarsgård.
For those unfamiliar, the prequel is released six years after IT: Chapter 2, which amassed a total of $1.17 billion at the global box office.
