Malcolm-Jamal Warner, who rose to fame from the hit show The Cosby Show, passed away in accidental drowning in Costa Rica.
More details have been revealed on the actor’s passing, who was rescued but authorities announced him to have no vital signs after being drowned.
The 54-year-old was on vacation with his wife and daughter at a beach on Costa Rica’s Caribbean coast.
The actor was drowning in the ocean with his daughter, who were noticed by surfers who dove in to rescue them, according to ABC News.
One of the surfers was able to rescue the actor’s daughter as he pulled her on his board and paddled her to the shore.
A lifeguard pulled Malcolm to the shore and tried to do resuscitation.
It was reporte dthat there two doctors on the vacation who did CPR on the actor however, it was not successful.
Malcolm’s eventual cause of death was revealed to be accidental asphyxiation by submersion.
