Fleetwood Mac fans are losing it as former lovers and band members Stevie Nicks and Lindsey Buckingham tease a potential reunion.
The beloved rock band’s lead singer and guitarist seemed to have reconciled over social media, and their latest social media posts seem to be hinting at something much bigger.
On Thursday, the Silver Springs singer took to her X (formerly Twitter) to cryptically post half of a song lyric on the platform.
“And if you go forward…” she wrote in the quote against a plain white background, which was met by Lindsey’s own response a short while later with “I’ll meet you there.”
The song being referenced is Frozen Love, from the pair’s 1973 album Buckingham Nicks, which came out a year before they joined Fleetwood Mac.
Mick Fleetwood, who is the drummer of the iconic band also posted the same track to his Instagram, with a video where he appeared to be listening to it.
The drummer also said in the clip, “It’s all in the song… It’s in the music that played on for so many years. It’s magic then, magic now. What a thrill.”
Notably, Stevie is currently on tour and has also announced that she will be putting out more music with a solo album, but hasn’t confirmed a reunion yet.
Stevie Nicks and Lindsey Buckingham were in a relationship when they came out with their album Buckingham Nicks, but broke up a year after joining Fleetwood Mac.
The pair still had tense chemistry onstage years after they were over, making fans speculate that there were some residual feelings between the two.
