Chris Martin, the lead singer of Coldplay, shocked the audience in Gillette Stadium with an awkward jumbotron moment.
On July 17, Coldplay performed in Foxborough as part of their ‘Music of the Spheres’ world tour.
In between singing the ‘Jumbotron Song,’ the cameras panned towards a cuddling couple, who, upon noticing themselves on the big screen, quickly separated.
They tried to conceal their identities, with the man ducking and the woman facing away from the camera.
“Whoa, look at these two,” Chris commented on the reaction, “Either they’re having an affair or they’re just very shy.”
The clip was posted on TikTok, where netizens rushed to identify the couple as Andy Byron, CEO of Astronomer (tech company) and Kristin Cabot, Chief Hr Officer.
They pointed out the partners were married but not to each other, suggesting an alleged affair as the singer predicted.
According to internet sleuths, Andy’s wife removed her last name from her Facebook mid-Thursday before deactivating her account.
Meanwhile, his LinkedIn page had been removed by late Thursday afternoon.
As of now, neither Coldplay, Andy Byron, nor Kristin Cabot has issued any statement regarding the viral video.
