'Harry Potter' star Emma Watson busted for speeding in UK

Emma Watson might be trying to disappear into Hogwarts but this time she didn't wear her cloak and was caught overspeeding in Oxford in her Audi A3.

The actress has been called to appear in court for breaking United Kingdom (UK) traffic law.

According to court records obtained by GB News, the Hermoine Granger actress was recorded driving at 38mph in a 30mph in the county.

The 35-year-old Harry Potter star is due in High Wycombe Magistrates’ Court next Wednesday, where she could receive up to six points in her driving license and a £1000 fine.

The Perks of Being a Wallflower actress was captured by a speed camera as she drove her AUDI A3 on a restricted road in Oxford.

This isn’t the first time that the acclaimed actress has faced vehicle-related problems. In February 2024, her car was impounded by police due to illegal parking during a night out in Stratford-upon-Avon.

Emma has maintained a low profile since starting her Masters in Creative Writing from University of Oxford in 2023. 

She is reportedly now pursuing a Dphil as well which is Oxford’s version of Phd.

Her last acting stint was in Little Woman, a 2019 film, and since then the actress has stepped away from limelight to focus on other matters.
