Emma Watson appeared unfazed during a beachside lunch at Croisette
English actress Emma Watson looked dapper as she took a stroll and had lunch on the Croisette beach during the Cannes Film Festival on Wednesday.
The 35-year-old sported a pastel pink vintage cotton dress and seemed to dismiss the recent controversy surrounding J.K. Rowling’s gender rights belief.
Following the signing of a pro-trans open letter by the Harry Potter cast, about which Emma later shared a mysterious message on Instagram about fascism, author Rowling wrote an essay about the signatories who were motivated by fear.
However, she appeared upbeat during her excursion, chatting with friends over lunch before being accompanied by her bodyguard on the French Riviera.
The Beauty and the Beast star upscaled her height in brown textured ankle boots, completing the look with a pair of Ray Ban shades.
In an essay published earlier this month, Rowling wrote, “Nobody sane believes or has ever believed, that human can change sex, or that binary sex isn’t a material fact.”
