Beloved singer Paul Simon will be returning to the stage after suffering severe pain and undergoing a successful surgery.
He had to cancel his June 27 and 28 shows in Philadelphia due to the “severe back pain” that he has had to endure.
Simon then had a show scheduled for Monday, July 7, at The Terrace Theater in Long Beach, California which has been delayed as well to allow him to rest.
A statement shared to his Instagram read, “Thanks to a great team of doctors, the surgery went well, as expected. However, it has become clear he will need one additional day of rest and recuperation to ensure he is able to perform at the top of his ability in Long Beach.”
Explaining that the show would be moved by one day, they added that the tickets for the older show would be accepted at the new one.
The venue and location of the concert will also remain the same, claiming, “We are sorry for any inconvenience this may cause, but Paul is looking forward to seeing everyone in Long Beach on Tuesday.”
