Marvel’s miniseries Ironheart concluded with its 6th episode on July 1st 2025, leaving fans questioning weather Dominque Thorne will grace their screens again.
Chinaka Hodge, creator of the TV show, is optimistic that the superhero series will be renewed for multiple seasons.
"I’ll keep it with you a buck, I’m hoping for all work in Hollywood right now," he said in a recent interview with IGN. “Yes, a second season, a third season, a fourth season. Yes!”
In conversation with Variety, director Ryan Coogler admitted that he does not know anything about the future yet.
“I’m here for whatever Chinaka’s got coming at us next; whatever Kevin’s got coming at us next, you know what I’m saying,” he added.
Dominique Thorne, the actress who plays Ironheart, said, “The true Marvel fans know that Marvel always has a plan.”
It is important to note that Ironheart’s season one finale introduced a Thanos-level villain, raising questions about Hodge's bigger plans for the superhero series.
“It’s strategic and it has a place in the larger storytelling,” Thorne added.
The action-packed series officially closed Marvel’s Phase 5 with multiple loose ends, suggesting it might not be the last time fans see Riri Williams.
For the unversed, Marvel first introduced Riri Williams, played by Dominique Thorne, in the Black Panther sequel Wakanda Forever.
Fans are excited to see Thorne reprise her role as Riri Williams in Avengers: Doomsday, which is set to release in 2026.
