The Reservoir Dogs actor, Michael Madsen took his last breath at 67, leaving behind mourning friends and family.

As per a local sheriff’s department, the frequent Quentin Tarantino collaborator’s demise is not linked with foul play and the cause of death appears to be cardiac arrest.

The tragic news was confirmed by reps for the now-deceased actor on Thursday, July 3, with a heartbreaking statement made by his team.

Michael’s manager, Ron Smith, with a second manager Susan Ferris and his publicist Liz Rodriguez revealed the plans and aspirations that he had around the time of his passing.

“In the last two years Michael Madsen has been doing some incredible work with independent film including upcoming feature films Resurrection Road, Concessions and Cookbook for Southern Housewives, and was really looking forward to this next chapter in his life,” the joint statement began.

“Michael was also preparing to release a new book called Tears for My Father: Outlaw Thoughts and Poems, currently being edited,” it continued, detailing his unfinished ambition.

The announcement concluded with a line that will resonate with many of his fans and loved ones, noting that he was an icon in Hollywood, and that Michael will be missed by many.
