‘The Bear’ is officially returning for season 5

FX has officially renewed fan favourite TV series The Bear for a fifth season, confirming that the hit half-hour series will continue its story beyond the recently released Season 4.

The fourth season dropped on Hulu on June 25 and all 10 episodes earned widespread praise from fans and critics.

In the last season, Carmy (Jeremy Allen White), Sydney (Ayo Edebiri), and Richie (Ebon Moss-Bachrach) struggled to run their fine dining restaurant. Natalie and Computer go over the Bear’s finances that are still in jeopardy despite the cost cut. Computer questions whether the restaurant is worth saving or not.

The supporting cast included Lionel Boyce, Liza Colón-Zayas, Oliver Platt, Abby Elliott, and Matty Matheson.

Despite speculation about potential unavailability of the cast, FX says renewal was made possible due to consistent strong viewership and global fanbase.

Reported by Variety, FX Chairman John Landgraf praised the creative team, calling the series a “defining force in modern television”.

With multiple awards already under its belt and more Emmy nominations expected for Season 3’s breakout run, The Bear remains one of the most talked-about shows on TV. 

What is the release date of The Bear Season 5? 

While the official release date for The Bear season 5 has not been announced yet, fans can look forward to seeing the new season sometime in 2026.
