Benny the Butcher reignites brutal beef with Freddie Gibbs
A bloody feud has been reignited with the new diss track 'Position of Power'
Benny the Butcher and Freddie Gibbs' long-running and oftentimes bloody rivalry is heading to its next chapter.
Benny recently collaborated with Austin Sour and Rain910 to release the song Position of Power.
In the diss track, the 40-year-old brought up a 2022 altercation after which Gibbs accused him of stealing his necklace.
“Rumors back home that we took some jewels / Some sh*t that don’t even cost a ‘B’ on my chain. Benny the Butcher the reason these rappers can’t eat in this lane,” the singer raps.
The verse is actually a response to Gibbs’ own recent diss track titled The Big 2, in which he proclaimed that his rival is “no challenge” for him.
The Midwestern rapper has been beefing with Benny since 2021 when he made a joke about the latter getting shot during a robbery incident.
However, things went beyond trading insults in 2022 after the 43-year-old was brutally assaulted by a large mob in Buffalo, New York.
Back then, Benny apparently confirmed his involvement in the attack when he posted an image of a chain allegedly belonging to Gibbs.
Many believed that the feud was over in January 2024 when Benny went to The Breakfast Club to announce that even though he would not patch things up with Gibbs, he was done with his bitter rival.
