Adam Sandler announces major career news

Adam Sandler is set to step away from the screen to embark on his You're My Best Friend tour which includes stops in major American cities.

It will take off in September and will continue on through November, including stops in places like Baltimore to Las Vegas.

Tickets are set to go live for sale on Friday, June 27 on Ticketmaster and Live Nation with a presale already being in process.

Sandler is also set to appear in Jay Kelly from Noah Baumbach which will be released in theaters in November and then on Netflix in December.

Netflix is also streaming a special called Adam Sandler: Love You, a comedy special that was filmed over two days in Los Angeles.

The actor took a break from traditional comedy in recent years to foray into critically acclaimed projects such as Punch-Drunk Love, Reign Over Me, The Meyerowitz Stories, as well as Uncut Gems, which was a major success.

He has most recently appeared in Happy Gilmore 2 which released on Netflix on June 25.

According to Netflix, joining him in the film are, “Julie Bowen, Ben Stiller, and Christopher McDonald and brand-new co-star Benito Antonio Martínez Ocasio (aka Bad Bunny), daughters Sadie and Sunny Sandler, and Blake Clark.”
