Jay-Z could possibly give the phrase “If you want something done right, do it yourself” a whole new meaning.

The music mogul’s label, Roc Nation, is the live-music entertainment strategist for the National Football League.

This year, Kendrick Lamar was ultimately selected to perform at the Super Bowl 59 Halftime Show.

While the decision was largely met with positive agreement, many criticised Jay-Z for picking Lamar over artists like Drake and Lil Wayne to appear on the biggest stage.

Moreover, the criticism is becoming the norm each year, with a significant number of music industry analysts and fans calling for the NFL to cut ties with Roc Nation due to their questionable choices.

However, Jay-Z might take matters into his own hands after reports surfaced that the rapper is considering headlining the 2026 Super Bowl Halftime Show in California.

The news comes just days after the 55-year-old surprised everyone by appearing at his wife Beyoncé’s Cowboy Carter Tour concert in Paris.

The New Yorker performed several of his hit tracks from back in the day, including the 2011’s Ni**as in Paris.

When was Jay-Z’s last album released?

Jay-Z released his thirteenth and last studio album in 2017 which was titled 4:44. The album was nominated for Album of the Year at the 60th Annual Grammy Awards.
