YoungBoy Never Broke Again is all the way back and is determined to put years of controversy behind him.

NBA YoungBoy was originally sentenced to 27 months in prison after his arrest in April 2023 for alleged involvement in a prescription drug fraud scheme.

The White Teeth singer faced several identity fraud and firearm charges, which stemmed from two separate incidents in Utah and Louisiana.

After serving 11 of the original 27-month sentence, the 25-year-old was released on March 24 from Talladega Federal Correctional Institution in Alabama.

However, YoungBoy spent 30 days in a halfway house in Phoenix, Arizona on curfew before finally getting out on probation.

Shortly after, the 25-year-old announced that his Make America Slime Again (MASA) Tour would kick off on September 2nd.

The tour will commence in Dallas and will make its way through 25 other cities before making its final stop in New Orleans on October 19.

On Monday, however, the Louisiana rapper sent his fans into a frenzy after he finally announced the release date of his next album.

Taking to his Instagram, the artist shared on his story that his next project would drop on July 4th.

The album would follow YoungBoy’s fourth mixtape More Leaks, which came out back in March while the singer was still in prison.

Did Donald Trump pardon NBA YoungBoy?

US President Donald Trump issued a full pardon for NBA YoungBoy on May 28, 2025. The rapper was on probation at the time following his release in April 2025.

YoungBoy thanked the president for pardoning him and giving him “the opportunity to keep building — as a man, as a father, and as an artist.”
