YoungBoy Never Broke Again is now truly free after President Donald Trump issued a full pardon.
CNN’s Jasmine Wright broke the news which was followed by the rapper’s confirmation on his Instagram.
NBA YoungBoy thanked the president for pardoning him and giving him “the opportunity to keep building — as a man, as a father, and as an artist.”
The rapper also thanked criminal justice reform advocate Alice Marie Johnson, his attorney Brittany K. Barnett and concluded his statement by proclaiming, “I’m ready.”
YoungBoy was originally sentenced to 27 months in prison after his arrest in April 2024 for alleged involvement in a prescription drug fraud scheme.
The White Teeth singer faced several identity fraud and firearm charges, which stemmed from two separate incidents in Utah and Louisiana.
YoungBoy pleaded guilty to charges in the fraud case and entered a no-contest plea for other cases. He received a suspended sentence for identity fraud and over two years for the firearm charges.
After serving 11 of the original 27-month sentence, the 25-year-old was released on March 24 from Talladega Federal Correctional Institution in Alabama.
The 25-year-old recently announced that his Make America Slime Again (MASA) Tour would kick off on September 2nd.
The tour will commence in Dallas and will make its way through 25 other cities before making its final stop in New Orleans on October 19.
NBA YoungBoy released his fourth compilation album More Leaks back in March while the singer was still in prison.
